Waxing removes hair from the root, leaving skin smooth, soft, and longer-lasting than shaving. Regular waxing, typically every 30 days, can reduce hair growth over time, making hair finer, softer, and thinner with repeated treatments.
We use two types of wax: hard wax and soft wax. Hard wax is gentle on delicate areas, such as the face, bikini line, and underarms, while soft wax is ideal for larger areas like legs, arms, back, and chest. Your esthetician will choose the appropriate wax for your skin type and treatment area to maximize comfort and results.
PREPARING FOR YOUR WAXING APPOINTMENT
For best results, allow hair to grow at least a half-inch before your appointment so the wax can fully grip the hair. Avoid showers or baths immediately before waxing, as softened hair may break and reduce effectiveness. Do not apply lotions or oils to the area beforehand.

Your esthetician may first apply an antiseptic lotion and a light dusting of baby powder to ensure the area is clean and dry
Warm wax is then applied, either with a cloth strip for soft wax or directly for hard wax.
The hair is removed quickly against the direction of growth while the skin is held taut. Some tenderness or mild swelling is normal, but most clients become accustomed to the sensation after a few sessions.
For sensitive clients, numbing creams or over-the-counter pain relievers can help reduce discomfort.
